Mark Coleman has been appointed to the new role of FIWFA European Ambassador.
Mark was recently the successful WNC 2025 Tournament Director and is the Founder and Director of Team Spain. An ex-UEFA Pro Academy coach, and based in Malaga, for several years he has been taking his teams to tournaments in Europe and beyond and has an excellent knowledge of, and is well respected by the Walking Football Communities within Europe.
The Ambassador role involves the recruitment and development of nations for the Federation. The role will also include writing a directive / paper on how these nations can introduce the game and expand on current participation levels, form leagues, tournaments and community projects while promoting the mental and physical benefits of playing the game, and the financial savings to be made by the medical services by having a healthier older generation.
An exciting appointment, strengthening the FIWFA Executive team, Mark joins our other long serving Ambassadors, Ricky Weir (Africa) and Dr Dee Dee Mahmood (Asia).
Further appointments will be announced soon, as we continue to grow membership beyond the current level of 41 Nations.
Recent new members include Kenya and New Zealand with potential new members from the USA, Chile and Argentina.
