RESULTS OF VOTE
For the 1st time, and as a new policy, FIWFA is now asking all its members to vote on these proposed amendments for 2026:
1. Allow the kick in to be either on or behind the line. This will keep the game flowing.
85% IN FAVOUR
2. Increase the penalty distance rule from 1 metre to 2 metres. This will reduce the problem of the step-back controversy.
77% IN FAVOUR
These changes will now be implemented. The definitive FIWFA LOTG 2026 will be available on the website very soon.
FIWFA is committed to establishing a stable, safe and simple unified LOTG internationally, and would encourage all members to implement this version with few or no modifications. No significant changes are envisaged at this stage in the sport’s development.
